Hazel L. DuBois, age 101 of Arcanum, Ohio passed away at 8:06 AM Sunday December 13, 2020 at her daughter’s home in New Albany, Ohio. Hazel was born August 9, 1919 in Darke County, Ohio and the daughter of the late Dewey and Edna (North) Carter.
She was a homemaker and worked with her husband Bob on the family farm. A very active member of the Abbottsville E.U.B. Church where she played the organ and piano for many years. She was known as a very good cook, making her homemade noodles, writing poetry and loved spending time with all her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” DuBois March 30, 2008; son Dennis Dubois; brothers Milford Carter, Melvin Carter, Chester Carter and Gene Carter and her sister Helen Thompson.
Hazel is survived by her daughter Barbara Ann Ingram of New Albany, Ohio; granddaughter Angela (Jason) Wood; great grandchildren Brennan Wood and Lauren Wood; step grandson Rodney Ingram, 3 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren, brother-in-law Carrol Thompson, sister-in-law Twila Carter as well as numerous nieces and nephew.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday December 18, 2020 in the Abbottsville Cemetery near Arcanum, Ohio with Pastor Chris Harris officiating. Parking will be available in the Abbottsville Church parking lot next to the cemetery.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Abbottsville United Methodist Church 4135 Ohio Route 49, Arcanum, Ohio, 45304.
