Beatrice “Bea” Withrow, 91, of New Madison passed away at Gade Health Care Center on September 10, 2011. Beatrice was born on June 23, 1920 in Darke County to the late Charles “Handy”& Ruby Mae Riegle.
Bea was a farmwife and a homemaker. She was also a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star and the American Legion Post 245 in New Madison.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Altan “Tom” Withrow; a brother, Charles Edward Riegle; and a sister, Mary Juday.
Bea is survived by a son, Ronald and Nancy Rexrode of New Madison; a daughter, Leah and Bill Dinkins of Harrison, Ohio; grandchildren, Kim Schledewitz, Jeff and Reda Dinkins, Darcy Dinkins, Teresa and Jason Null, Shelly and Kris Burns, Scott and Rhonda Rexrode and Greg Rexrode. Bea was also blessed with numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a niece, Sarah Juday.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Braund Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Fee officiating. The family will receive guests at the funeral beginning at 11:30 AM until the time of the funeral service. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery.
