Charles Robert “Bob” Rahm (September 15, 2011)

Charles Robert “Bob” Rahm, age 91 of Versailles, Ohio passed away on Thursday September 15, 2011 at 8:40 PM at Versailles Health Care Center. He was born March 25, 1920 in Wayne Twp. Darke County, Ohio the son of the late Charles H. & May (Telfer) Rahm.

He served in the United States Army in the 102nd Anti-Aircraft Division during World War II. He was a farmer retiring in 1978, he also worked for J.C. Shappie Construction Company of Versailles, Darke County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD), Darke County A.S.C.S., Eugene Meyer Trucking of Versailles and most recently he was self employed help for 2 Versailles trucking companies. He also worked at the Darke County Auditors Office in the Real estate Division.

He was a member of Webster United Methodist Church, Wayne Grange at Webster, Miami-Shelby Chapter Barbershop Society, the Melody Makers, Piqua, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Son: Michael Rahm.

He is survived by his wife: Eileen (Deeter) Rahm of Versailles; Sons & daughter in law: James Rahm of Versailles, John & Mary Rahm of Versailles; Grandchildren: Aloysius & Melissa Rahm of Gettysburg, Jason Rahm of Denver, CO., Jessica & Eric Nawroth of Vandalia; Great Grandchildren: Keira, Zachary, & Naomi; Sister & Brother in law: Beulah & Waldo Fine of Versailles; Nephews & Spouses: David & Cheryl Fine of Arcanum, Larry & Pam Sinsabaugh of Virgina, Rick & Sara Sinsabaugh of Virginia; Nieces & spouses: Diane & Cliff Sickles of Michigan, Deb & Tom Wilson of Missouri, Bernie & Dale Roller of Kansas; numerous great nieces & nephews.

Services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday September 20, 2011 at Webster United Methodist Church, Seibt Road, Webster, Ohio with Pastor Ray Haley Officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday September 19, 2011 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Webster United Methodist Church.
