Harold "Buzz" E. Goubeaux, 85, of Arcanum, died Friday, September 2, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. Mr. Goubeaux was born in North Star on December 30, 1925, the son of the late Benjamin E. and Rosalee (Smith) Goubeaux. He was a retired machinist at the former Cadillac Gauge, Greenville, retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WW II. Buzz was member of the Greenville VFW. Preceded in death by his Son Stephen E. Goubeaux, who died December 21, 1970, Sisters Patricia Mullenix and Beverly Sturgill. Survived by his wife Mary Ellen (Wiest) Goubeaux, whom he was married to for 62 years; Son Scott Goubeaux of Laura; Brother Jerry Goubeaux of Bradford; 3 Sisters Betty Cohee of Covington, Wilma (Duane) Davidson of Greenville, and June Bailey of Greenville; Brother-in-Law Bill Sturgill of Eaton. Graveside Services will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 7 at Miami Memorial Park, Covington with Chaplain Sam Hoeflich officiating. The Greenville Veterans will conduct military graveside services at the cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday 5 - 8 PM at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum.
