Gladys Irene Johnson, 86, of Greenville, passed away early Sunday morning, February 5, 2012 at Heartland of Greenville.
She was born, November 14, 1925 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, daughter of the late Ira Mills and Thelma (Wright) Hurt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Mills.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Richard V. Johnson; Children, Lesa (David) Trump of Rossburg, John R. Lam, Jr. of Peachtree City, GA, Dee (Tania) Lam of Bradenton, FL, and Julie Cockrell of New Madison; grandchildren, Tommy Lam of Orlando, FL, Michael Lam of Manhatten, NY, Justin Lam of Denver, CO, Jeremy Cheyne of Union City, OH, Christopher Plessinger of Greenville, Davian Trump of Rossburg, Braxten Trump of Rossburg, and John R. Lam, III of Wilmington, NC.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
