Margaret P. Shiverdecker, 81, of Greenville and formerly of Rossburg, passed away Monday afternoon, February 13, 2012 at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
She was born October 13, 1930 in Richmond, Indiana, daughter of the late Murl and Bertha I. (Price) Rowe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Shiverdecker on April 21, 2008.
Margaret was retired from the Darke County Emergency Management Agency. She had also worked for Doctor's Platt and Blickenstaff in Versailles. She was a member of the Ansonia United Methodist Church
She is survived by a daughter, Diana (James) Zumbrink of Rossburg; a son, Dennis (Elizabeth) Shiverdecker of Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Scott (Kitty) Zumbrink, Dawn (Bryan) Muhlenkamp, Merridy (Jason) Toepfer and Lee Shiverdecker; great grandchildren, Kennedy Zumbrink, Brooke and Kelsey Muhlenkamp, and Carson and Reilly Toepfer; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Shiverdecker; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Stuck.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 19 at the Ansonia United Methodist Church with Pastor Fred Herron officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to either the Ansonia United Methodist Church, State of the Heart Hospice or the Alzhiemer's's Association.
