Goldie is survived by her son, Doug Strait of Palestine; daughters, Susan Yoder of Goshen, Indiana and Cindy Smith of Union City, Indiana; grandchildren, Monica Roth, Mary Chamberlin, Nick Strait and Eric Strait; and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Goldie is also preceded in death by her husband, C. Dale Strait; brothers, Guy “Ted” and Dellis Runner and infant Clyde Runner; and a sister, C. Grace Ketring.
Goldie was a homemaker. She was a member of Palestine Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Mike Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Palestine Church of Christ.
