Kathryn J. “Kathy” Holaday, age 64 of Xenia, Ohio and formerly of Gettysburg, Ohio passed away at 12:55 A.M. Wednesday December 11, 2013 in the Miami Valley Hospital Dayton, Ohio. Kathy was born August 7, 1949 in New Castle, Indiana and the daughter of the late Robert and Maxine (Koch) Holaday.
She had retired from Wilmington High School as a Home Economics Teacher and most recently had been employed at Alterations Unlimited of Fairborn, Ohio.
Kathy was a 1967 graduate of Gettysburg High School and a 1971 graduate of Ohio University. She was also a former member of the Gem City Sweet Adelines.
Kathy is survived by two sisters Karen Caudill of Dayton and Christine (Stephen) Deeter of Greenville; nieces Amy (Steve) Seegmiller of Selden, Kansas and Carmen Denham of Greenville; great nieces and great nephew Jordan Seegmiller, Zachariah Denham, Christine “CJ” Denham and Cami Denham; close friends Marian Scarazzo and Debra Bringman both of Troy, Ohio.
Private Memorial Services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home 1499 North Broadway Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Bob Bitner officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Gettysburg Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
