Ralph Edward Beasecker, age 86 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:42 P.M. Monday December 16, 2013 in the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center Greenville, Ohio. Ralph was born September 9, 1927 in Arcanum, Ohio and the son of the late Ray and Rhea (Guthridge) Beasecker.
Ralph was the owner and operator of Beasecker Cleaners from 1957 until 2013 and had been the owner of numerous Coin-Op Laundromats in the area for many years. He was also a veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greenville, Nomad’s Camping Association and the Friendship Club of Dayton which enabled Dawn and Ralph to travel worldwide. Ralph also enjoyed playing golf, fishing and piloting his own plane. He was a member of the former Greenville Country Club serving as President, Greenville Kiwanis Club also as President, Greenville Elk’s Lodge, the Greenville Masonic Lodge, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine of Dayton where he was a member of the “Bobbies”, Darke County Shrine Club where he had served as President and The Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Grandson Chad Gibbons; sister Susie Suarez and half-brother Ray Beasecker Jr.
Ralph is survived by his wife Dawn E. (Tester) Beasecker of Greenville. They were married March 21, 1948. Also by a son Mike Beasecker of Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter and son in law Linda and Randy Gibbons of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; grandchildren Jessica Beasecker, Ashley Beasecker, Andi Gibbons Brown and B.J. Gibbons; great grandchildren Kylee Brown, Keegan Brown, Kyndall Brown, Romi Gibbons and Mia Gibbons.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday December 19, 2013 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Angela Meeks officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday 1 hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to The Cancer Association of Darke County or State of the Heart Hospice of Darke County.
