Aileen is survived by her children, Carol & Richard Henry of Sweetwater, Tennessee, Michael & Judi Powell of Greenville, Melody Swartz of Greenville and Rhonda Powell of Greenville; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sisters & brother-in-law, Marjorie Carpenter of Franklin and Evelyn & Owen Hensley of Middletown.
In addition to her parents, Aileen was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Waldo Powell whom she married March 25, 1950; son, Thomas Darin Powell; daughter, Carla Wright; and sisters, Janet DeHart and Linda Sue Hensley in infancy.
Aileen was a homemaker and also formerly worked at Inland in Dayton and storm King in Miamisburg. She was a member of Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 11, 2014 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Doug Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
