Richard was retired from farming and the former Dairy Maid of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Priscilla L. (Marshall) Hartzell March 15, 2012. They were married March 19, 1955.
He is survived by his children Rodney (Betty) Hartzell of Greenville, Theresa (Carth) Jones of Bradford, Pam (Brian) Clum of Union City, Ohio and Patty (Brian) Class of Greenville; grandchildren Shawn Jones, Julie Neitzelt, James Jones, Sharon Jones Rostkowski, Rebecca Watson, Richard Clum, Ryan Class and Rachel Class; great grandchildren Katie, Robert, Tonee, Zachary, Ashley, T.J., Adam, Austin, Haylie, Jayden, Conner, Amber, Bryce, Bryanna and Lexie; brothers Elden (Fran) Hartzell of Wauseon, Ohio and Steve (Pam) Hartzell of Rossburg; sisters Janet (Jim) Leis of Rossburg and Marilyn (Tom) Smith of New Madison as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday October 29, 2015 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Steve Shoop officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
