Wavelene (Olwine) Woodall, 93, of Greenville peacefully went to be with her Lord on November 24, 2015. Wavelene was born on November 18, 1922 in Gettysburg, Ohio to the late Arthur and Bessie (Marker) Olwine.
Wavelene enjoyed crocheting, reading, painting and playing cards. She also loved to write poems to her grandkids. She enjoyed spending time with family above all. She served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to her parents, Wavelene is preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Herman, and Billy Olwine, a sister Roberta Seals, great grandson, John Warner and great granddaughter, Lulu Grace Snyder.
Wavelene is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kathy King of Greenville, Don and Diane Woodall of Jacksonville, Florida and Greg and Teddy Woodall of Troy; grandchildren, Shelly and Pat Warner of Arcanum, Michael King of Greenville, Jeremy and Heidi Woodall of Oregon, Ben and Kelly Woodall of Georgia, Cami and Jason Snyder of Greenville, Zach and Sarah Woodall of South Carolina, Wesley Woodall serving in Kuwait, Jeff and Chelsea Woodall of South Carolina, Jennifer and Nathan Scott of South Carolina, Scott Woodall of Florida and Dusty and Elizabeth Woodall of Florida; 28 great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth (Olwine) Hoggatt of Greenville.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at EUM Church, 1451 Sater Street in Greenville with Rev. Eric Fee officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may visit prior to the service on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 9 - 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
