Gary was born August 6, 1961, in Coldwater to William A. Berger of Osgood and the late Janice M. (Hemmelgarn) Berger. In addition to his mother, Gary was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Kathleen Berger.
In addition to his father, Gary is survived by his wife, Angela (Stienecker) Berger whom he married May 1, 2004; step-children, Derek Millhouse of Sidney, Erika & Jacob Smith of Galloway and Jessica Millhouse of Versailles; grandchildren, Kyle, Caleb and Kendon Millhouse; brothers & sister-in-law, Roger & Amy Berger of Plain City and Rodney Berger of Botkins; sisters & brothers-in-law, Karen & John Hilgefort of Versailles and Michelle & Tony Kuether of Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary formerly worked at Whiteford Food Products in Versailles, Superior Aluminum in Russia and GTI in Greenville. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and the Versailles Fraternal Order of Eagles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 7, 2018, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Martins Cemetery in Osgood. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
