Rickie Lee Hess, age 65 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 12:55 AM at his home. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on July 6, 1954 he was one of many children born to the late Robert W. & Della M. Hess. Rickie previously worked at Union City Body Company/ Work Horse, and was currently a custodian for the Greenville City School District. Rickie was a member of the American Legion #158 in Union City, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing and camping. More than anything he loved spending time with his family. He will truly be missed. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Timothy Hess: mother & father in-laws Ralph & Beatrice Peters: brother-in-law Beni Peters: as well as several siblings.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Phyllis “Diane” (Peters) Hess, whom he married May 25, 1974: son Rickie Hess, Jr.: 2 granddaughters that were like daughters to him, Makayla Hess & Makenzie Hess: grandchildren Ashley; Gavin; Sierra; Zeana; Breana; Rylie; Leland: great-grandchildren Dallas & Grayson: great-great grandchildren Alice & Ellie: sister-in-laws Candy & Andy Hoover; Carol Bentley; Penny Peters: special friends Jeff & Sharon Bradburn; Rick & Cindy Hunt: as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.
