Bethany Gonzalez, age 76, of Greenville Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 12:55 PM at State of the Heart Care Center. She was born August 1, 1944 in Greenville, Ohio the daughter of the late Joseph & Margery (Tryon) Henninger.
she is survived by her children: Angelita Solis of Kentucky, Nathan (Jackie) Mancillas of Greenville Justin (Jessica) Gonzalez of Greenville, Jeremy (Jessica) Gonzalez of Greenville; special nephew, Sergio (Karina) Villareal Gonzalez of Jala Nayarit Mexico; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; siblings: Melanie (Greg) Perry, Cheryl (Jim) Erbaugh, Jan (Tom) Cyphers, Charlotte Sherman, Barry (Wanda) Henninger, Kevin Henninger, Randy Henninger, Brent (Mary Kay) Henninger; and numerous nieces and nephews and her dogs: Tango and Cao.
In addition to her parents Bethany is preceded in death by her husband: Ramon Gonzalez Zúñiga her sons, Tani Gonzalez and Matthew Mancillas; mother and father-in-law Lorenzo González Chavez and Francisca Zúñiga Espinoza.
Bethany worked at Council on Rural Programs for 25 years and also at Head Start when her kids were young. She was known as mom not only by her children but by all the children in the neighborhood due to her caring nature and desire to help; she volunteered to help in her community in any way she could. She loved to travel and long car rides through the country. She was an animal lover.
Services will be held on Monday March 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Deacon Tom Graber officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society.
