Marilyn June Miller (March 18, 2021)

Marilyn June Miller, 82, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away, peacefully, on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at her home.

She was born on June 8, 1938, in Greenville, to the late Robert and Pearl (Sullenbarger) Mowery.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Miller, whom she married on March 14, 1959; her children, Scott Miller, Jeff Miller, and Dawn Shafer; her siblings, Ted Mowery and Joan Crissinger; and her son-in-law, Tony Hedger.

Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of Greenville High School. She worked for Corning Glass in Greenville as an inspector for nearly 45 years. Marilyn was known to love driving around town, especially through the park to see the "quackers". She loved shopping at Eikenberry's IGA and it wasn't uncommon for her to make five trips a day. Marilyn had a love for animals, especially cats and dogs.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling them. Marilyn made an appearance at every sporting event that her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a part of. She liked going to the Darke County Fair and was a member of EUM in Greenville and spent many years helping with funeral dinners at EUM. She was also a member of the Compassionate Friends and spent many years as a volunteer at Wayne Hospital.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Sheryll (Kevin Henninger) Hedger of Hollansburg, Ohio, and Lori Miller of Greenville; her grandchildren, Jason Hedger, Sherry (Matt) Sharp, Adam (Holly) Miller, Jacob Miller, Jenna (Colten) Forte, Jack Rifenberg, and Graham Shafer; her great grandchildren, Jarod, Loren, and Jadyn Sharp, Aiden Forte, and Cameron and Benjamin Miller; her great-great grandchildren, Kohen and Jaxyn Sharp; her siblings, Tom (Shirley) Mowery, and Mike Mowery, all of Greenville; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Mowery of Greenville, Pat Miller of Potsdam, Ohio, Jane Miller of Vandalia, Ohio, and Bonnie Harp of Georgia; her brother-in-law, Richard Crissinger of Greenville; her caregivers, Kelly Eikenberry, and Kylie Beisner; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Marilyn's life will take place at 10:30 AM, on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus with Pastor John Sgro officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Guests may visit with her family on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
