Robert V. Nixon, 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at 11:23 PM at his residence. He was born March 9, 1942 in Greenville, Ohio the son of the late Walter and Mary Lee (Weaver) Nixon. He worked for Dayton Power and Light and retired from Vectren 15 years ago.
He was a member of Darke County Parks; Garst Museum; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping; collecting Native American items and artifacts; and loved American History.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Vivian Joan Nixon on July 9, 2020 whom he married June 30, 1962; his brother Larry Nixon.
He is survived by his son: Steven Nixon of Greenville; his daughter: Annette Kiser of Greenville; grandchildren: Dustin, Ashley, & Robbie; great grandchildren: Skyanne, Tyler, Ryan, D.J., Paisley, & Lily; his sister Linda Lee; and numerous nieces & nephews.
A service will be held on Monday March 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Park District, or the Garst Museum.
