Mr. Charles R. “Dick” Brandon, age 80 of Versailles, Ohio passed away on Friday June 11, 2010 at 8:05 PM at the Versailles Health Care Center. He was born October 2, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Charles & Hazel (Stoner) Brandon.He is preceded in death by his parents; Son: Thomas D. Brandon; Brothers: Kenneth, Ralph, & Riley Brandon.
He is survived by his wife Wanda (Tester) Brandon of Versailles; Daughter & son in law: Nickie & Harold Maccubbin of Defiance, Ohio; Daughter in law: Rita Brandon of Versailles; Grandchildren & spouses: Mindy Brandon, Shawn & Tara Brandon, Sarah & Greg Adkins, Chris Maccubbin, Josh & Christina Brandon, Jeff Brandon; Great grandchildren: Jonathan Brandon, Tyler Underwood, Madison Brandon, Austin Brandon, Leah Adkins, Alexxa Nash, Georgia Adkins, Samuel Adkins.
Services will be held on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio with Pastor Dennis Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday June 14, 2010 at the funeral home. Veteran’s graveside services will be conducted by the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made the donor’s choice.
