Treva May (Mathis) Hockett age 84 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 1:45 A.M. on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at her residence. Treva was born April 20, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio. She was raised by the late George & Jane Hoffman.
Treva was retired from General Motors. She attended Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church and was a member of many organizations in the area. She loved bowling and golfing.
Treva is also preceded in death by her husband: Russ J. Hockett, first husband James Mathis, and a daughter in law Vicki Mathis.
Treva is survived by Fiancé Ralph Watson of Wayne Lakes, sons & daughters-in law Curtis & Linda Mathis of Columbus, Ohio, Micheal & Pam Mathis of Greenville, David Mathis of Greenville, daughters & sons in law: Janie Brown, Viola & Kim Gilbert, Dee Diehl & Friend Charlie Goodpastor all of Greenville, 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren .
There will be a service held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Mark Lemar officiating. Burial will follow the services at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Jefferson, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Monday, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
