Mrs. Maxine J. Holloway, age 91 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 6:25 AM at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville, Ohio. She was born on August 20, 1918 in Lightsville, Ohio to the late John & Icy (Manuel) Broderick.
Maxine worked at General Athletic for 20 years and was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church. She loved quilting, sewing, flowers and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by first husband, Daniel Gates; second husband, Owen Holloway; great granddaughter, Peggy Monnier; brothers, Walter and Jim Broderick; sister, Gladys Coby.
She is survived by her son, Ralph L. Holloway of Greenville; daughter and son in law, Eloise & Joe Barton of Greenville; grandchildren, JoAnne (Alex) Monnier and Joe P. Barton; great grandchildren, Don Monnier, Mike Monnier, Robert Barton, Krystal Barton and Melissa Barton; great great grandchildren, Kaliegh Thiebeau, Christian Barton, Haylie Barton, Alex Barton and Kayla Washington; sister, Betty Trissell of Michigan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Other family members include sisters, Myrtle Hoffoman and Phyllis Miller.
There will be a service held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Chris Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Teegarden Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be given to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Bible Fellowship Church.
