Princess Echeman (June 16, 2010)

Princess Iola (Prichard) Echeman age 77 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away at 2:57 P.M. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. Princess was born October 22, 1932 in Van Wert, Ohio, to the late Charles & Flossie (Miller) Prichard.


Princess was a homemaker (Mom), her greatest joys in life evolved around family and friends. She was a member of Versailles Christian Church and the Versailles Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She will be forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, Rest in Peace Sweet Princess.

In addition to her parents, Princess is also preceded in death by her brothers, James, Homer, Ned, Charles and Max Prichard; and sisters, Betty Prichard, Olive Cashel, Sylvia Thatcher and Alice Imler.

Princess is survived by her children, Angela & Dennis Pittsenbarger of Greenville, John & Sharon (Muhlenkamp) Echeman of Versailles, Mark P. & Sherry (Baker) Echeman of Greenville and Barbara & Curtis Brandewie of Versailles; grandchildren, Andrew Miller, Valerie Miller, Aaron Pittsenbarger, Nathan Pittsenbarger, Dionne Mihalus, Chris Echeman, Kreg Echeman, Isaac Brandewie and Rachel Brandewie; grand dog, Phoebe; great grandchildren, Kaden & Bryce Echeman; sisters, Viola Sheets of Van Wert and Janet Sawmiller of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles, with Pastor Dennis Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
