Francis Eugene “Gene” Ford (November 27, 2011)

Francis Eugene “Gene” Ford, age 83 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 10:17 A.M. Sunday November 27, 2011 at his residence. Gene was born October 11, 1928 in Darke County Ohio and the son of the late Hershel “Jack” Ford and Marie (Jenkinson) Overholser.

Gene was retired from Hobart Brothers of Troy, Ohio. He was a Lifetime member of the Tri-State Tractor and Engine Assoc.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Reva Lou (Cain) Ford; second wife Iona Marie (Rinard) Ford; son Rodney Ford, infant daughter Martha Lee Ford, brothers Bob and Tom Ford and Sister Jackie Balfour.

Gene is survived by daughters and sons in law—Linda & Nevin Miller of New Madison, Kay & Ron Klosterman of Greenville, Paddy & Rex Cox of Greenville, Jane & Craig Weitbrecht of Kokomo, Ind. and Jackie & Kent Lephart of Arcanum. Son Michael Ford & Cheryle Blankenship of New Madison. Grandchildren & spouses—Dion & Karen Plessinger, Lonnie & Tammy Miller, Shawn Plessinger, Tricia Smith, Luann & Jim Mann, Tracy Canada, Chris & Mary Ann Ford, Lougena & Nathan Mancillas, Jason Ford, Nicole & Jason Taylor, Nathan & Tara Ford, Eliza Weitbrecht, Tanner Lephart, Victoria Weitbrecht and Megan Nims. Great Grandchildren—Kaylin & Jason Henninger, Trever Mann, Alyshia Plessinger, Abby Plessinger, Ashtin Plessinger, Amanda Plessinger, Kelsi Mancillas, Tani Mancillas, Zane Mancillas, Khloe Nims, Sami Miller, Rachel Miller, Marcus Plessinger, Vahn Plessinger, Alexis Ford, Ryan Ford, Jerod Ford, Chelsea Ford, Bailey Ford, Carson Taylor and Brody Taylor. Great Great Grandchild—Ian Plessinger. Sister and brother in law Jo and John Fitzsimmons of Danville, Ill. Step sisters Carla Kimmel and Lisa Overholser both of Greenville. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday December 1, 2011 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Mr. Eric Laux and Pastor John Nunnally co- officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery Ft. Jefferson, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 until 8 P.M. in the funeral home.

It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to State of The Heart Hospice of Darke County.
