Mary Ann Nease, 91, of Greenville and formerly of Ansonia, passed away early Thursday morning, November 24, 2011 at the Clare Bridge Cottage of Sterling House in Greenville.
She was born October 8, 2920 in Darke County, daughter of the late Ira Elmer and Myrtle (Freemuth) Riegle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Hap" Nease on August 3, 2002; a sister, Maida Norris; and a niece, Lisa R. Norris.
Mary Ann had worked at JC Penny's, raised chickens and belonged to Nature Trail. She took pride in her dogs, birds and loved to bowl and golf.
She is survived by a nephew, Mark (Shirley) Norris of Arcanum; a great niece and nephew, Shelly and Craig; and a very dear friend, Keith "Slick" Schlechty of Greenville.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 26, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:30 p.m. till 3 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be given to Hospice of Dayton.
