Betty A. Foster, 92, of Hollansburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. Betty was born on June 2, 1922 in Hollansburg, Ohio to the late Carl and Maude (Cox) Moore.
Betty retired from Corning Glass in Greenville. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in New Madison and the American Legion #708 in Hollansburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Foster, two sisters, two nephews, a niece and one grandson.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Roberta Vaugh of Lexington, Kentucky; three sons, Terry Joe Foster of Hollansburg, Larry Lee and Betty K. Foster of Hollansburg, and Jerry Jay and Kathy Foster Harrodsburg, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, six great, great-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew; a sister, Lodene Cutts of British Columbia, and a brother, Jay Moore of Greenville.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Braund Pope Funeral Home in New Madison on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sam Shilot officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollansburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to American Legion Post #708 in Hollansburg or State of the Heart Hospice in Greenville.
