He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Bridget & Andrew Adams of Greenville; son and daughter in law, George H. & Vanessa Hogge Jr. of Coral Springs, FL; grandchildren, Brandi (Brian) Whyte, Adam Hammitt, Ryan Hogge, Jessica Hogge, Jennifer Hogge, Quinton Hammitt, Joshua Slingerland, Haylee Rohr, Jordan Rohr and Kylee Rohr; and great grandchildren, Lexi Slingerland and Ryiss Slingerland.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Jo Hogge whom he married in 1969.
George retired from General Motors in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1994. He was a member of the United States Air Force and the United Auto Workers.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
