James Kenneth “Jim” Pence, age 65 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 7:42 AM Thursday November 5, 2020 at his residence. Jim was born January 26, 1955 in Greenville and the son of Kenneth Lloyd Pence of Greenville and the late Joan D. (Klosterman) Pence.
Jim had been employed at Fram Corporation of Greenville from 1975 until his retirement in January of 2020. He was a former member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Christ Church formerly on Edison Road and had attended the Lighthouse Christian Center. He enjoyed painting, playing board games and was an inventor. He also loved spending time with his family and animals.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by 4 stillborn children Hannah, Samuel, Esther and Jay. Also his father and mother-in –law Webster and Dorothy Ganger.
Jim’s survivors in addition to his father is his wife Judi K. (Ganger) Pence of Greenville. They were married June 16, 1984. Son Daniel (Danny) Pence of Greenville; sisters Karen (Mark) Skiles of Ansonia, Kathy (Mark) Beaver of Bryan, Ohio and Karla (Matt) Spettel of Greenville; brothers Jerry (Carol) Pence of Greenville and Joel (Shawn) Pence of Cincinnati; sisters-in-law Anna Lee (Dale) Dickerson and Patty (Steve) Foreman all of Union City, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday November 10, 2020 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral; Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Both services at the funeral home and graveside will be available by zoom on the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Facebook page. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of the services in the funeral home.
