Gary L. Daugherty (October 13, 2009)

Gary L. Daugherty, 59, of Arcanum, died Tuesday evening, October 13, 2009 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Mr. Daugherty was born in Shelby County on June 21, 1950, the son of the late Ronald G. and Betty J. (Cole) Daugherty who survives. He was employed as a custodian at National Trail Local School District. He is survived by his wife Peggy (Fritz) Daugherty, whom he married August 29, 1978; Daughters Candy Pyles and husband Michael of Arcanum, Erica Daugherty at home, Crystal and Angel, Son Bill; Granddog Minnie; Sister Vicki Marten and husband Kevin of Greenville; Brothers Gale Daugherty and wife Margaret of Ansonia, Robert Daugherty and wife Melody of Arcanum, Larry Daugherty and wife Becky of Union City, Ohio, Rickie Dean Daugherty and wife Ginny of Arcanum, David Daugherty and wife Melodie of Kentucky, and Danny "Dwaine" Daugherty and wife Angie of Lewisburg. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Pastor Dan Kuhbander officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday 2 - 5 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a scholarship fund for Gary's child Erica at Greenville National Bank.
