Gladys E. “Peg” Rhoades, 94 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday November 22, 2014 at 1:40 PM at the Brethren Retirement Community. She was born March 25, 1920 in Darke County, Ohio the daughter of the late Denzil & Mary Jane (Baker) Spencer. She was a homemaker; a graduate of Palestine High School; and a member of the Women of the Moose.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Lowell Rhoades on August 29, 1984; brother: Ray Spencer; sister: Helen Farmer.

She is survived by her children & spouses: Keith & Mel Rhoades, Tom & Jennifer Rhoades, Jane & Bill Oliver; grandchildren: Kris Rhoades, Amanda & Danny Brockman, Melissa Powell & Bobby Hymes, Chad & Erin Oliver, Heath & Hilary Oliver, ; great grandchildren: Megan Wasner, Alivia Dwire, Rylee Powell, Ryder Hymes, Sam Oliver, Ben Oliver, Kate Oliver, Alyssa Brockman, Tabatha & Dusty Reynolds, Rebecca Brockman, Samantha Brockman; great great grandchildren: Trystan, Dustin, & Ashlyn Reynolds.

Services will be held on Friday November 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Carol Duffield officiating. Burial will follow Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to New Madison United Methodist Church.
