Robert G. Landis (November 13, 2014)

Robert G. Landis, 87 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Thursday November 13, 2014 at his residence.  He was born May 13, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Ralph & Golda Mae (Gardner) Landis.  He served in the United States Army.  He worked for General Motors in Material Control.  He attended Faith Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife:  Frieda Belle Landis on July 21, 2014 whom he married July 27, 1957.

He is survived by his daughter & son in law:  Loreen & Larry Thompson of Pembroke, VA; his grandchildren:  Rebecca Thompson & Joshua Thompson; & numerous nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday November 22, 2014 at Germantown Cemetery, Germantown, Ohio followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church 740 Russ Road, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Bill Baker officiating.  Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.  Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
