Stanley M. “Red” Hofacker, 87, of Greenville, passed away on September 14, 2016 at Heartland of Greenville. Red was born on September 2, 1929 in Preble County, Ohio to the late Dwight and Sadie (Clegg) Hofacker.
Red was a retired mechanic.
In addition to his parents, Red is preceded in death by a son, 2 daughters, a brother and 2 grandsons.
Red is survived by his wife, Nancy (Hoff) Hofacker, whom he married September 2, 1989, sons, Dan Hofacker of Eldorado, Rocky and Teresa Hofacker of Castine, and Keith Hofacker and Fiancé Waneta Sheppard of Richmond; daughters, Pam Studebaker of Arcanum, Connie and Chris Levering of West Manchester, and Barbara and Terry Swann of Florida; step son, Jim Chrisman of Piqua; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Delbert and Mary Lou Hofacker of Gordon and Donald Hofacker of West Manchester; sisters, Mildred Fair and Lois Houschour both of Greenville and Doris Jean Curtis of Rossburg; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 1:00PM at the Braund Pope Funeral Home in New Madison, Oh with Pastor Jim Moorehouse officiating. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Ithaca Cemetery. Family request memorial contributions be given to Braund Pope Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
