Clara L. Miller, 94, of Canal Fulton, Ohio and formerly of Greenville, passed away early Sunday morning, February 4, 2018 at her home.
She was born on December 21, 1923 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Follendorf) Richardson.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her first husband, John Dunlap on June 20, 1970; her second husband, Clyde Miller on February 13, 2005; her son, Dan “D.W.” Dunlap; her sisters, Amelia Swain and Margaret Devor; and her brother, Walter Richardson.
Clara was a hard worker and made sure to be a role model for her children. She retired from United Telephone after over 30 years of service. She began as a telephone operator and moved her way up to be a supervisor. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Greenville. Clara enjoyed socializing and playing cards with her sisters and friends. Before she moved out of the area, Clara was a member of and would frequent the Greenville VFW, American Legion and Eagles Lodge. As she got older, and a bit slower, she would pass the time by watching TV and spending time with her grandchildren.
Clara is survived by her children, Cathy Miller of Canal Fulton, Ohio, and Leo (Diane) Dunlap of Greenville; her grandchildren, Chad (Jeanette Noggle) Orth, Shawn (Kristy) Orth, Bobbie Jo (Tom) Stephenson, Justice Miller, Lori (Rob) Godown, John Dunlap, Danielle (Randy) Luthman, Jill Urban, Christina Dunlap, and Samantha Dunlap; 21 great grandchildren; her brother Ron Richardson, and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville campus. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
