Keith Hicks, 87, of New Madison, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2018 at his home.
Keith was born on May 7, 1930 in Darke County, Ohio, the son of the late Omer R. and Mae (Karn) Hicks.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his brothers, John Hicks and Joe (Roma) Hicks; son-in-law, Carl White; and brother-in-law, Ivan Unger.
Keith was committed to his family and serving his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School, and a member of Pleasant View Missionary Church. Keith was very involved with Ludlow Falls Church Camp. He retired in 1992 from Darke Landmark and was a life long farmer.
Keith is survived by his wife of 68 years, Arlene (Fourman) Hicks, whom he married December 17, 1949; his children, Tony (Vicki) Hicks of Bradford, Chris (Vickie) Hicks of West Manchester, Anita White of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dan (Barbara) Hicks of Bradford, Tim (Sheri) Hicks of Bradford, and Kathy (Rick) Grove of Arcanum; his grandchildren, Shawn Hicks, Brandon Hicks, Missy Steele, Karen Hollenbaugh, Joshua White, Aaron White, Sarah White, Ruth White, Ryan Hicks, Tawni Williams, Joshua Rice, Andrea Netzley, Deborah Rice, Spencer Hicks, Rachel Koogler, Devon Grove, and Danielle Grove; 36 great grandchildren; his sister, Betty Unger of Greenville; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence (Miriam) Hicks of Greenville, and Ira (Mary) Hicks of Bradford; sister-in-law, Joanne Hicks of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Pleasant View Missionary Church, 5231 Gettysburg-Pittsburg Road, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Allen Sudman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison, Ohio.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 2 PM to 7 PM at the church and one hour prior to services on Friday.
