Donald Eugene “Donnie” Robison (December 26, 2013)

Donald Eugene “Donnie” Robison age 76, of Woodington, Ohio passed away at 7:43 P.M. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at his residence. Donnie was born June 5, 1937 in Darke County, Ohio to the late Ben & Virginia (Downing) Robison.

Donnie is survived by three sons and a daughter, Terry Robison of Union City, Ohio, Karen & Alan Gessler of Greenville, Ohio, Larry & Connie Robison of Union City, Ohio and Scott & Lori Robison of Laura, Ohio; grandchildren, Heath Gessler, Michael & Amy Gessler, Seth Gessler & fiancée, Brittany Black, Chad Robison, Chanin Robison, Brett & Casey Robison, Brandon Robison, Brian Robison, Bryce Robison and Mindy & Jason Cockerham; great-grandchildren, Autumn Gessler, Georgia Mae Gessler, Caitlyn Robison and Braden Cockerham; sisters & brothers-in-law, Joyce Anne & John McEldowney of Versailles, Ohio and Loretta Faye & Larry Terhune of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donnie is also preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Wilma (Pearson) Robison on June 21, 2004 whom he married February 15, 1958.

Donnie retired from Westinghouse - A.O. Smith in Union City, Indiana. Donnie was a master carpenter and did construction work in the community all his life. Donnie was a member of the Woodington Congregational Christian Church. Donnie was an avid woodworker, making scale model tractors from wood, enjoyed making crafts and going to the Power of the Past and Steam Threshers. He was an advisor of the Cloverettes 4-H Club for 32 years. Donnie was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Treaty City Motorcycle Club.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Jim Fulton and Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Ft. Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
