He served in the United States Navy in Japan during the Vietnam War. He retired from Darke Rural Electric where he worked in the billing department. He attended First Presbyterian Church; was a 1966 graduate of Greenville High School; he earned an Associates Degree from Edison Community College; he enjoyed gardening, reading and music and loved the outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, & sister: Carole Yount.
He is survived by his wife: Helen (Plessinger) Miller of Greenville whom he married April 3, 1971; his children & spouses: David & Denise Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dan & Amy Miller of Columbus, Ohio, & Emily & Pius Piedu of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren: Anna & Claire Miller, Elizabeth, & Audrey Miller, & Parker Piedu; & numerous nieces & nephews.
Services will be held on Monday December 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. John Person officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
