Palmer “Steve” Fields, age 53 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Friday January 10, 2014 after a painful battle with cancer. Steve was a Navy Veteran, a welder at Norcold for the past 12 years; an avid fisherman; a loving father and grandfather; and a devoted husband.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Eva Jewel (Smith) & Palmer Fields
He is survived by his wife: Rosie (Dillon) Fields; children: daughter: Melanie Fields and Jeff Royster, son: Steven & Chelsea Fields, daughter: Bekah Ball & Jeff Hampton, son: Tim Ball, son: Avery Fields, son: Sam Ball, daughter: Zoe Fields, & son: Chase Fields; grandchildren: Ashley Royster, Levi Fields, & Jaxon Hampton; siblings: sister: Pam & Mark Maloy, brother: Joe Fields & Sandy Pelletier, brother: Bill & Bonnie Fields, & sister: Nanny Kay Knoop & Brice Reossner; & numerous nieces & nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service held on Sunday January 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Oakland Church of the Brethren with Pastor John Sgro officiating. Family will receive friends immediately following the services at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice or to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
