Henry A. Meinerding age 82 of Versailles & formerly of Palestine, died at 5:05 A.M. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Versailles Health Care Center. Henry was born August 14, 1926 in St. Joseph, Ohio, to the late Henry & Josephine (Kalkhoff) Meinerding.
Henry formerly worked for the Railroad, the Record Company, and Greenville Tile Mill. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles.
In addition to his parents, Henry is also preceded in death by his brothers, Carl “Fuzzy” Mentor, Carl, Bill, Ray, Andy and August Meinerding; and sisters, Mary Jones, Rosella Fellers and Lucille Fellers.
Henry is survived by numerous nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; great great nieces and great great nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
