Mrs. Opal Elizabeth (Reel) Lease-Hawes-Hall
Mrs. Opal Elizabeth Hall departed from this earth to be joined with her precious Savior on May 25, 2009. She was a resident of the Brethren Home Community of Greenville, Ohio. She was born on May 30, 1909 in Versailles, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late William & Bessie (Vonderheid) Reel.
She was 1st married to Edward C. Lease of Greenville whom precedes her in death. They where the parents of 6 children 3 children deceased are Francis E. Lease who was a band leader for the Crystal Ballroom of Frenchtown, Ohio for many years, Robert E. (Dorothy) Lease, Carole J. Lease. She is also preceded in death by Brothers: Clem (Glenna) Reel & Lester (Ruth) Reel; Sister: Winifred (Houston) Craig; Son in law: Robert Broderick; Also her 2nd husband: Markwith Hawes, 3rd husband: Chalmer Hall.
She is survived by 3 children: Daughter: Betty J. Broderick, Son: Lewis E. Lease, Daughter: Marilyn J. (Gene) Fritz; Grandchildren: Nancy (Dennis) Livingston, Ronald (Chris Anne) Lease, Timothy Lease, Teresa (David) Jackson, Deborah (John) Shuff, Marceena (Randy) Hamilton, Roberta (Mike) Ditty, Robert (Kalauokaaea) Lease, Mona (Daniel) Lease-Stachler, Jana (Doug) Kolling, Lana (John) Johnston, John Lease, Regena (David) Brown, Troy (Kari) Fritz, Shannon (Jodi) Fritz; Numerous Great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.
Opal acquired many friends throughout the Greenville area and was a cook for the Cul Mor Tea Room along with other restaurants. She was a member of the AAA Automobile Club for over 50 years; she was also a member of the Daughters of America, Darke County Century Club. She was well noted for her patient cooking abilities, preparing food to its finest delicacy and was a brilliant conversationalist within the public. She was consistent with her Christian belief and was so well loved by entire family and will be missed by many.
She was the niece of the multi-talented worlds famous Russells.
Services will be held on Friday May 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Greenville Missionary Church 1110 North Broadway Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
