Madonna M. Rhoades (January 12, 1928 - July 1, 2009)

Madonna M. Rhoades, 81, of Arcanum, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Rhoades was born in Albany, Indiana on January 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Lottie (Stafford) Whitehair. She was a Homemaker and Mother, and loved her children, grandchildren, and gardening. Madonna was a member of the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren, and former member of the Mississinewa Farm Bureau Council. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Rhoades, who died October 30, 1990, and sisters Winona Shroyer and Betty Taylor, and brother Don Whitehair. Madonna is survived by daughter Teresa Wogomon and husband Cary and son Darwin Rhoades both of Arcanum; grandchildren Ryan Wogomon and wife Heather, Amy Huber and husband Craig, and Erin Tegtmeyer and husband Rob all of Arcanum, great grandchildren Mitchel and Madelyn Wogomon, Mikayla Gross, Tyler Huber, and Carson and Cooper Tegtmeyer. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren with Pastor John Huffaker officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday 2 - 5 PM at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum.
