Ross J. Miller, 84, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Darke County, son of the late Grover A. and Wilma Leo (Ross) Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Faye (Martin) Miller; his second wife, Marian A. (Long) Brinley-Miller; a son, Terry Brinley; a great grandson, Isaac Brinley; and a brother, Jesse J. Miller.
Ross was a retired farmer as well as being retired from the former Westinghouse in Union City. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII. He was a member of the Nashville Methodist Church, the American Legion Post #140 and the Darke County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his children, Terry (Joyce) Miller, Randy (Susie) Miller, Roland (Brenda) Brinley, Mark (Vickie) Brinley; a daughter in law, Connie Brinley; grandchildren, Shelly Capetillo, Rhonda Reagan, Chris Brewer, Shanna Hines, Bret, Dane, Lisa, Matt, Josh, Jeff and Alyssa Brinley and Jaime Roseberry; great grandchildren, Hunter, Christopher and Elizabeth Jane; sister, Betty Brumbaugh and Ireta Beard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, July 21 from 5-8 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
