Naomi E. Ditty, 82, of Greenville, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 1, 2009 at Wayne Hospital in Greenville.
She was born in Liberty Township, Darke County, daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Elvesta B. (Wolfal) Hittle.
Naomi was retired from the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville where she had worked as a nurse's aid. She had spent several years as an Avon Dealer.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lloyd Ditty whom she married March 16, 1946; her children, Shirley (Marion) Price of Rockford, OH, David (Theresa Brodrick) Ditty of Greenville, Barbara (Donald) Back of New Madison, Duane Ditty of Greenville, Donald (Cindy) Ditty of Greenville and Carol (Todd) Garland of Greenville.
Grandchildren, Kimberly Green, Scott Price, Chad Price, Jeremy Price, Lorraine Holzapel, Michael Mann, Chris Back, Angie Brinley, Jason Ditty, Shawn Ditty, Ashley Bierly, Austin Ditty, Stacy Ward, Christina Hanes, Eric Garland, Joshua Shellhaas, Dustin Garland, Zachary Garland, Donald Hoffman and Mandy Langdon; 35 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and brothers, John (Janeva) Hittle of Greenville and Richard (Donna) Davis of St. Cloud, MN.
Services will be held Monday, July 6, at 2 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Dan Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollansburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
