Mrs. Victoria “Vicki” L. Mathis, 48, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 6:40 PM at her residence. She was born on August 4, 1960 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Margaret (Gatrill) Godown of Greenville, Ohio and the late Don Vaughn.
Vicki worked as a Social Worker at the Head Start in Union City, Ohio. She attended the Church in Fairborn in Fairborn, Ohio.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by; sister, Lisa A. Vaughn; uncle, William Gatrill and step father Deo Godown.
In addition to her mother she is survived by; husband, David Mathis of Greenville whom she married on February 19, 1977; daughters and sons in law, Jessica & Jeremy Gonzalez of Greenville and April & James Davidson of Fairborn, Ohio; sons and daughter in law, David & Julie Mathis of Huber Heights, Ohio and Aaron Mathis of Greenville; grandchildren, Caden & Kaitlyn Gonzalez, Brooke Mathis, David Mathis and Camden Mathis; sister and brother in law, Debra & Eric Augustine of Greenville; nieces and nephews, Alicie Rossi, Tiffaney Gregory, James Augustine, Michael Augustine, Matthew Augustine as well as numerous nieces and nephews on her husbands side; step mother, Laura Vaughn, Lancaster, Ohio; mother in law, Treva Hockett of Greenville.
There will be a service held on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev John McRoberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Ft. Jefferson, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to send a thank you to the Hospice of Dayton Crisis Care Nurses.
