Paul S. Baker, 91, of Greenville, went to be with his Lord, Monday afternoon, December 20, 2010 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
He was born June 10, 1919 in Darke County, son of the late Raymond M. and Sarah A. (Brosey) Baker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Luella Mae (Shroyer) Baker on July 17, 2000.
Paul had worked for at Neal’s Dairy in Dayton, then Stover Feed Mill and he retired from Hobart Manufacturing in Greenville. He was a member of the Harris Creek Church of the Brethren and in his later years had volunteered at the Brethren Retirement Community.
He is survived by his children, Myron (Cathy) Baker of McKinney, TX, Anna Mae (Darrell) Baker of Greenville, and Sandra (James) Grossnickle of North Manchester, IN; grandchildren, Marlies Meeker, Tom Baker, Krista Pace, Stephen Baker, Mark Baker, Clayton (fiancée, Angi Snyder) Baker, April (fiancée, Ed Fortkamp) Baker, Cindy Grossnickle and Bill Grossnickle; great grandchildren, Sean Cowan, Robert Meeker, Caeli Baker, Carsten Baker, Presley Pace, David Lance Baker, Adam Baker, Peter Baker, Ileasha Baker, Natasha Baker, and Cheyanne Baker; a brother, Richard W. Baker of Greenville; a sister, Lois Reinbolt of Columbus, OH; and his feline friends, Sarah and Leo and many other friends at the Brethren Retirement Community.
Services will be held Thursday, December 23 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville with Pastor Phillip Dell and Chaplain Bob Bitner co-officiaitng. Burial will follow in the Palestine Miller Grove Cemetery near Palestine, OH.
The family will receive friends at the Chapel of the Brethren Retirement Community Thursday from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given the Resident Aid Fund of the Brethren Retirement Community.
Services have been entrusted with the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.
