Robert W. “Bob” Beasecker, age 89, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 01, 2010, at 1:13 AM at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on March 1, 1921, in Darke County, Ohio, to the late John and Lova (Turrell) Beasecker.
Bob retired in 1981 as an Engineering Supervisor for General Motors at the Detroit Diesel Allison Division in Indianapolis, Indiana after 39½ years of service. He was a member of the United States Army Air Force serving in WWII, First United Methodist Church in Greenville, Versailles Masonic Lodge for 50 years, and graduated from Greenville High School in 1938.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Donald Beasecker on October 30, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Mary F. (Fiebiger) Beasecker whom he married on August 9, 1941; brother, Walter Beasecker of Ithaca, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a service held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Joe Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Dayton Memorial Park, Dayton, Ohio. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A full Military Service will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the First Untied Methodist Church or to the donors choice.
