Alice was retired from Corning Glass Inc. and later employed at the Darke County Learning Center.
She was a member and Past President of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary all of Greenville. Also was an avid golfer, Ohio State University fan, Cleveland Browns fan and had been an active volunteer with the Special Wish Foundation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Connie Hushour.
Alice is survived by her brothers and sister in law Bob & Susan Marker of Winchester, Indiana and Jim Marker of Greenville. Also by her niece Melissa and Bobby Vore of Greenville and a nephew Todd and Sandie Marker of Ruskin, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday November 3, 2012 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive fiends on Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. The Greenville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a Lodge of Sorrow at 7:30 P.M. Friday in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Special Wish Foundation,
State of the Heart Hospice of Darke County or the Darke County Cancer Association.
