Missy Mae Thornhill, age 39, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 in Marquette, Michigan. She was born on January 23, 1977 in Greenville, Ohio. Parents are Mike Henson of Greenville and Donna & Randy Clark of Arcanum.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Shaun Thornhill of Greenville, Ohio, whom she married on October 19, 2013; son, Dez Thompson of Greenville; daughter, Tiona Thompson of Greenville; step children, Nathan & Madison Thornhill; mother in law, Sandra Thornhill of Rossburg, Ohio; sister and brother in law, Amy & Chester Shell of Greenville; step siblings, Melia Henson of Greenville, Adam & Allison Clark of Ithaca, Ohio and Cody Smith of Miamisburg, Ohio; brothers & sisters in law: Chad & Josh Thornhill, Georgette Thornhill. & Jamie Cox; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles.
She is preceded in death by her nephew, Austin Henson Meade; fathers in law, Jim Cox & George Thornhill.
Missy was known for loving to help others. She worked at Cashland for many years before working at home. She was involved with Operation Christmas and attended EUM Church.
There will be a service held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Briana Makombe officiating. There will be no burial. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 3-8 PM at the funeral home.

James Combs, 77 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Heartland of Greenville.
James was born January 2, 1939 in Vest, Kentucky, a son of the late Martin Combs and the late Isabella Fugate Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Don Combs, Andy Combs and Gary Miller, and his sister, Theda Middleton.
He served in the Army. He was a Veteran of Korea. James loved music and enjoyed playing guitar and singing. He loved all animals, guns and target shooting.
James is survived by his sons, James Arlend Combs, Jr. of Arcanum, OH and George Scott Combs of Arcanum, OH; brother, Herald (Linda) Miller of Greenville, OH; sisters, Ann Miller of Florida and Karen Cummins of Palestine, OH.
A Celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, with Rev. Linville Miller officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Greenville Honor Guard.

Cora Arline Light, age 95 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 6:25 P.M. Thursday February 18, 2016 at the Versailles Health Care Center Versailles, Ohio. Arline was born October 31, 1920 in Neave Township Darke County, Ohio and the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Delaplane) Zimmers.
Arline was a devoted mother and housewife and had been employed as a clerk with the Darke County Title Department.
She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville and had served as secretary of the church. Arline was also a member of the Nifty Neave Homemakers, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Republican Women’s Association, the National Association of Amalgamated Liars, a New England Patriots Fanatic and a booster of all her Grandkids and Great Grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James W. Light in 1973; sons Robert J. Light in 1989 and John Z. Light in 1990; brothers Paul and Ray Zimmers and sister Lillian Light.

He was born July 15, 1937 in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Elmer and Mildred (Hill) Irvine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Treva Hofacker and Wanda Ray.
Gene was a 1955 graduate of New Madison High School. He enjoyed refinishing old wood items.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn(Buhrman)Irvine, whom he married July 7, 1957; a son and daughter- in- law, Bryan and Kelly Irvine of New Madison; a daughter, Karmel Irvine of New Madison; two grandchildren, Kody Irvine of Greenville and Zachary Irvine of Florida.

Gene was a 1955 graduate of New Madison High School. He enjoyed refinishing old wood items.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn(Buhrman)Irvine, whom he married July 7, 1957; a son and daughter- in- law, Bryan and Kelly Irvine of New Madison; a daughter, Karmel Irvine of New Madison; two grandchildren, Kody Irvine of Greenville and Zachary Irvine of Florida.

Glen Thomas “Tom” Mangen age 85, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 8:45 P.M. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Glen was born July 25, 1930 in Darke County to the late Lawrence B. & Margaret A. (Dapore) Mangen.
Glen is survived by his wife of 51 years, Yvonne (Snyder) Mangen whom he married June 27, 1964; children, Lisa Mangen of Versailles and Tom Mangen of Versailles; granddaughters, Alie Mangen and Jena Mangen; brother, Cyril Mangen of Celina; sisters-in-law, Jane Mangen of Bradford, Armella Mangen of Brock and Barb Mangen of Clayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Glen was also preceded in death by his brothers, Norman, Carl, Romain, Loren, Ellery, Verl “Buck” Mangen and infant, Bernard Mangen; and infant sister, Mary Ann Mangen.
Glen graduated from Versailles High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Glen retired from PMI a division of Hobart Corporation in Troy in 1992. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and the Versailles Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2347. Glen loved camping at Cottonwood Lake where he camped up until 2 years ago.

Delbert Ray Wintrow Jr., age 73 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:58 P.M. Saturday February 13, 2016 at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center Greenville. Ray was born August 30, 1942 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Delbert Ray and Mary Catherine (Grill) Wintrow Sr.
Ray retired in 2007 from 3-Way Electric of Greenville after 50 plus years as an Electrician. He was an active member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church and the Darke County YMCA, both of Greenville. Ray loved playing with his grandchildren, working in his yard and wood working.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death sisters Helen Pitsenbarger, Shirley Fitzgerald and Barbara Wintrow as an infant; brothers Steve Wintrow, William Wintrow, Paul Wintrow, Donald Wintrow and John Wintrow.

Karen L. Niley, 75, of Greenville, Ohio passed away, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
She was born May 16, 1940 in New Paris, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry and Vietta (Brown) Gangwer.
Karen was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and belonged to Eastern Star for over 40 years. She worked alongside her husband for many years in their business. Karen was an avid collector of assorted treasures, liked to travel, loved her dogs and cats and all animals, and most of all she enjoyed her family.
She is survived by her husband, David Niley whom she married on March 24, 1956; her daughters, Deborah Stutzman of Springfield, IL, Terri (Joe) Andrews of Whigham, GA, and Laura Davis of Bradford; 10 grandchildren, April (Mike) Yagle, David (Kenzie Anderson) Stutzman, Joseph (Rachael) Andrews, Joshua (April) Andrews, Justin (Emily) Andrews, Jarred Andrews, Tom Levering, Amanda (David) Romerez, Allison (Ricky Jones) Davis and Cody Davis; 10 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard (Jeannie) Gangwer and Robert (Carol) Gangwer; 3 nieces and 2 nephews; and numerous friends.

Barry J. Gettinger, 70, of Greenville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Heartland of Greenville.
He was born December 28, 1945 in London, England, a son of the late James H. and Ida L. (Weymouth) Gettinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Gettinger.
Barry was a Green Beret in the Army’s 7th Special Force Group out of Fort Brag, and reservist in the 12th Special Forces Group. He was also member of the Indiana State Wrestling Association and the National Ski Patrol. He was a paramedic for the Union Township Life Squad and was on the West Milton Fire Department.
He is survived by his sons, Brian Gettinger of Versailles and Brad and Susan Gettinger of Greenville: grandchildren; Brennan and wife Alexis, Sophie, Will, and Lucy Gettinger; a brother, Terry and Rita Gettinger.

Arlene had owned and operated Southwest Traders on Broadway in Greenville.
She was a graduate of New Madison High School. Arlene was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Loyal Order of the Moose, both in Greenville.

Richard A. “Dick” Fletcher, 86, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Thursday, February 04, 2016, at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
He was born April 14, 1929, in Darke County, Ohio, a son of the late Harry and Eva (Aten) Fletcher. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Herman Fletcher, John “Rock” Fletcher and Chester “Chet” Fletcher; 3 sisters, Frances Wilt, Norene Renfro and Thelma Fletcher.
Dick entered the United States Army in May of 1951 when he was 22 years old. He worked for Wilson Auto Sales (Studebaker’s) until they sold. Then he went to work for Myron Chambers at the Sohio Filling Station until they sold. Following his employment with Sohio, he worked for Dairy Maid until they closed. He then went to work for Permacrete and stayed there until he retired in 1988. Dick could never really retire and was soon looking for something to do. So he started working for Eikenberry’s part time and then finished his retirement career at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home. Dick was a lifelong member of the American Legion and attended the Greenville Missionary Church.
Dick is survived by his wife Charlotte (Eubank) Fletcher whom he married March 17, 1955. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
A Celebration of Dick’s life will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Greenville Missionary Church, 1110 N. Broadway Street, Greenville, with Pastor Gary Oser officiating. Ralph G. Hartle, 82 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Monday February 1, 2016 at 6:23 PM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born February 18, 1933 in Darke County, Ohio the son of the late Robert C. & Opal I. (Gibson) Hartle. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked 39 ½ years at Greenville Manufacturing and was a farmer. He was a member of Beamsville Christian Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandson: Zachary S. Hartle.

Duane Eldon Leis, 74 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife Kay by his side on Tuesday February 2, 2016, after a 5-year battle with cancer. He was born December 31, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Ralph W. & Loetta (Shoop) Leis. At the age of five, Duane began driving tractors and milking cows before school. This led Duane to become an entrepreneur in farming, car & truck sales, real estate, & truck driving. In addition, he was an active member at Ansonia First Church of God. He was often known for his kind and generous spirit.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Ralph W. & Loetta Leis.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Kay (Fletcher) Leis of Greenville. He was a very loving and caring father to his daughters: Marena Leis of Fishers, Indiana, Paula & Kevin Spear of Scottsdale, Arizona; and a loving grandfather: Garrett, Mariah, & Blake. Violet V. Freeman, 81, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016, at her residence.
She was born February 28, 1934 in Eubank, Kentucky to the late Herman and Mary Belle (Meeks) Smith. In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her great grandson, Owen Nicodemus; and sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Katherine Mashburn.
Violet attended Triumphant Christian Center. Her passions were her children and reading her Bible. One of her favorite things to do was sit on her porch and greet and invite anyone walking by to take a break. Her favorite drink was Coca-Cola.
Violet is survived by her husband, Harold Freeman of Greenville, whom she married on February 3, 1970; eight children and their spouses, Joy and Mike Estepp of Stanton, KY, Joan Butchko and Kenny of Greenville, Mark Leonard of Fort Dodge, IA, Carl Leonard of Greenville, Alan Leonard of Kettering, Charles and Vickie Adams of Arcanum, David and Krista Adams of Greenville, and Donna Freeman of Greenville; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters, Louise and David Wines of Camden, OH and Faye Adams of Stanton, KY; as well as countless nieces ,nephews and friends.

Dorothy E. Niley, 97, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on January 29, 2016 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was born March 17, 1918 in Darke County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Elmer and Goldie (Wentworth) Warvel.
Dorothy was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and belonged to Eastern Star for 55 years. She belonged to several card clubs, loved to sew and crochet and keep house. In 1962 she retired from Fram. Dorothy simply enjoyed life and her family.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Niley, Jr., whom she married July 25, 1936; a brother, Dill Warvel; a sister, Mable Skillman; and an infant brother.
Dorothy is survived by her children, David (Karen) Niley and Joan (David) Cummings, both of Greenville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Deborah Stutzman of Springfield, IL, Terri (Joe) Andrews of Whigham, GA, Laura Davis of Bradford, Ohio, John (Sandy) Cummings of Miamisburg, Ohio and Jodi (Malik) Allalen of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, sisters, Louise Clawson of Greenville, Ohio and Lucille Post of Wendelin, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

John worked at Wills Greenhouse, which was his favorite job, for 7 years as well as Wayne Industries for 30+ years. He was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Greenville. He enjoyed the Darke County Special Olympics and volunteering and attending Main Street Greenville events.

John is survived by his siblings, Cindy & Kim Smith of Pickerington, Ohio, Carolyn & Michael Shockley of Dayton, Ohio, Cheri & Rob Davidson of Hilliard, Ohio, David & Gwen Westfall of St. Augustine, Florida; nieces and nephews, Zachary (Angela) Smith, Lucas (Angie) Smith, Brenton (Kellie Coffman) Smith, Samantha Davidson, Alex Davidson and Sara Davidson; 3 great nephews; 1 great niece; as well as numerous loving caregivers and best friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
John worked at Wills Greenhouse, which was his favorite job, for 7 years as well as Wayne Industries for 30+ years. He was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Greenville. He enjoyed the Darke County Special Olympics and volunteering and attending Main Street Greenville events.
There will be a service held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Bible Fellowship Church, 7757 Greenville Celina Rd., Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Chris Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, Covington, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.

Harry Kenneth Chancey, age 86 of Rossburg, Ohio passed away at 2:36 P.M. Thursday January 28, 2016 at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center Greenville, Ohio. He was born April 16, 1929 in Parkersburg, West Virginia and the son of the late Harry D. and Tressie Beatrice (Perkins) Chancey.
Harry was retired from the Darke County Highway Garage where he had been employed for 25 ½ years. Some of Harry’s hobbies consisted of quilting, gardening, as well as working in the greenhouse and canning.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alma G. (Reinheimer) Chancey January 10, 2006. They were married June 19, 1948. Also grandsons Kenneth Stewart in 1964 and Jack Stewart in 2008 and his sister Muriel Jean Lutz.

Lucretia Michelle Hargrave (January 26, 2016)
A Mother in Israel, Our sister, fellow saint, and helper in the Lord, Lucretia Michelle Hargrave, unto her unspeakable awe and delight was received into eternal paradise the morning of Tuesday January 26, 2016, in Greenville Ohio. This faithful saint and mother of nine children was born again by the power of God in 1995. In that year she willingly, irrevocably and unconditionally turned her back to all the world of sin and lived in such a way that family, friends and all who knew her fully comprehended where she stood. She was wed to her husband, Randall Pierre Hargrave, on July 29, 1995. Her price was truly far above rubies and she blessed us all with her motherly presence. The scripture says that her children arise up and call her blessed. Along with her own biological children is a host of "children" from ages 16 and younger whom Sister Lucretia assisted into this world. Yes, many are the children whose infant bodies were first held by this mother in Israel. These children can now rise up as a witness and "call her blessed" saying truly, "She was my deliverer!"

Jerald D. “Fluke” Campbell, age 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 11:15 A.M. Friday January 22, 2016 at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center of Greenville. He was born April 10, 1937 in Greenville and the son of the late Donna M. (Linder) Campbell.
Jerald was retired following a military career. He began service in the U.S. Marine Corp and then served nearly fifteen years in the U.S. Air Force. He was the former owner of the Campbell Apple Farm in Ansonia. He was a member of the Greenville V.F.W. and Ansonia American Legion.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his sister Judith D. Hawkey September 20, 2015.

Wilma is survived by her children, Karen Hiland of Charleston, Tennessee, Brenda Miller & husband, Perry of Cambridge, Ohio, James William & wife, Joanne of Greenville, Ohio, Donna Dennis & husband, Steve of Greenville, Ohio, Janice Mayo-Steed & husband, Tony of Greenville, Ohio and Betty Oda of Arcanum, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Lawrence White of Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Williams; sisters, Margaret Hartman, Mary White, Jean Volkmann, Julia Fay White and Catherine Glasgow; and brothers, Joseph G. White, James Ray White and Cirp Willard White Jr.
Wilma retired from the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville where she was a registered nurse and formerly worked at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. Wilma enjoyed playing cards and belonged to various County card clubs.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Dr. John Person officiating. Earl R. Mumaw age 100, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 8:58 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 peacefully at his residence. Earl was born August 26, 1915 in Versailles, Ohio to the late Leo & Mary Alice (Pequignot) Mumaw.
Earl served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Earl was owner and sole proprietor of Mumaw Auto Sales for 54 years. Earl was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles. He was an avid big game hunter and in 1954 he held a place in the Boone & Crocket Record Book for an Alaskan Moose and South Dakota Buffalo. Earl also was an avid Indian Artifact collector and member of The Archaeological Society of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Earl was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy P. (Gerling) Mumaw on January 26, 2006; daughter, Joann Miller; grandsons, Bruce Miller, James Mumaw II and Mathew Mumaw; and brothers, Robert & Ralph Mumaw.

Mary L. Hittle, age 86 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 4:41 A.M. Wednesday January 20, 2016 at the Brethren Retirement Community of Greenville. She was born November 9, 1929 in Piqua, Ohio and the daughter of the late Robert H. and Mary Esther (Peters) Penrod.

Nevin L. Rhoades, 75 of Greenville, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by all of his family on Sunday January 17, 2016 at 2:23 PM at his residence. He was born April 8, 1940 in Greenville, Ohio the son of the late John H. & Floris L. (Warner) Rhoades. He worked at TWA for 39 years 4 months, and was an A.P. jet mechanic for 34 years he taught at Brookville School for 2 years before becoming a mechanic. He was a member of Highland B.I. C. and attended EUM Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Thomas Edward Schulze, age 59, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. He was born on April 25, 1956 in Greenville, Ohio, to Eileen (Drees) Schulze of Versailles, Ohio, and the late Mervin Schulze.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Jerry & Judy Schulze of Celina, Ohio, Randy & Kathy Schulze of Kihei-Maui, Hawaii and Jon & Shelly Schulze of Versailles; sister and brother in law, Kay & Tom Francis of Versailles; nieces and nephews that he thought the world of, Jennifer Jacobs, Joe Schulze, Billy Dirksen, Teresa Lawrence, Kyle Francis, Caden Schulze, Logan Schulze; as well as 8 great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father.

He moved to Houston, Texas where he worked for a number of years in the oil and recycling industries. Glenn H. Brewer (January 16, 2016)
Glenn H. Brewer, age 94, passed peacefully into eternal life January 16, 2016 at Rest Haven Health Care Center.
Glenn Hoke Brewer was born to Arthur and Katie (Hoke) Brewer near Bradford, Ohio on May 3, 1921. He graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1939. After graduation he worked at Petersime Incubator Factory and then at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He married Norma Waggoner on October 11, 1941 and began farming.
Mr. Brewer farmed full-time and worked winters at Ed Cornell’s Men’s Store until he became employed at Bradford National Bank in 1956. He attended the Ohio School of Banking and later became a loan officer. He retired in 1986 as a Vice President of Miami Citizens National Bank and was the manager of the Bradford Office. He farmed part-time during this time at the Bradford Office and continued to help farm during retirement.
A life-long resident of Darke County, Glenn was an active member of Oakland Church of the Brethren where he served in many capacities including Sunday School teacher, choir member, and deacon. He chaired the Fundraising Committee when the new church fellowship hall was built. He was a 10- year member of the Bradford Lions Club, was President of the Bradford Businessmen’s Association, and was a member of the Gettysburg School Board.
All who knew Glenn knew that he loved people, travel, and cars. He had several antique cars that he enjoyed driving with members of the Piqua Antique Car Klub. In May of 1984 he was selected to spend a week in Washington observing in the office of Congressman Tom Kindness. He also volunteered as a driver for the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
Glenn will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who always took time for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Norma, an infant son, Glenn Mark, parents, Arthur and Katie Brewer, and sister, Esther Lecklider. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Stephen) Marsh, North Vernon, IN and son, Dean (Christine) Brewer, Bradford, OH; grandchildren Kimberly (Bracken) Foster, Newcomerstown, OH; Philip (Yukiko) Brewer, Tokyo, Japan; Lynn Marsh, Zionsville, IN; and Julie Brewer (Isaac Zika), Bradford, OH; and five great-grandchildren, Ellie, Ethan, Lucy, and Charlotte Foster; and Tomo Brewer.
Visitation will be held Friday January 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Zechar-Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio. Graveside service will be held Saturday January 23 at 9:30 a.m. at Gettysburg Cemetery and a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Oakland Church of the Brethren, Gettysburg, Ohio, with Rev. Fred Bernhard and Rev. Bracken Foster and co-officiating. Family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. before the memorial service.

Glenn Hoke Brewer was born to Arthur and Katie (Hoke) Brewer near Bradford, Ohio on May 3, 1921. He graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1939. After graduation he worked at Petersime Incubator Factory and then at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He married Norma Waggoner on October 11, 1941 and began farming.
Mr. Brewer farmed full-time and worked winters at Ed Cornell’s Men’s Store until he became employed at Bradford National Bank in 1956. He attended the Ohio School of Banking and later became a loan officer. He retired in 1986 as a Vice President of Miami Citizens National Bank and was the manager of the Bradford Office. He farmed part-time during this time at the Bradford Office and continued to help farm during retirement.
A life-long resident of Darke County, Glenn was an active member of Oakland Church of the Brethren where he served in many capacities including Sunday School teacher, choir member, and deacon. He chaired the Fundraising Committee when the new church fellowship hall was built. He was a 10- year member of the Bradford Lions Club, was President of the Bradford Businessmen’s Association, and was a member of the Gettysburg School Board.
All who knew Glenn knew that he loved people, travel, and cars. He had several antique cars that he enjoyed driving with members of the Piqua Antique Car Klub. In May of 1984 he was selected to spend a week in Washington observing in the office of Congressman Tom Kindness. He also volunteered as a driver for the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
Glenn will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who always took time for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Norma, an infant son, Glenn Mark, parents, Arthur and Katie Brewer, and sister, Esther Lecklider. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Stephen) Marsh, North Vernon, IN and son, Dean (Christine) Brewer, Bradford, OH; grandchildren Kimberly (Bracken) Foster, Newcomerstown, OH; Philip (Yukiko) Brewer, Tokyo, Japan; Lynn Marsh, Zionsville, IN; and Julie Brewer (Isaac Zika), Bradford, OH; and five great-grandchildren, Ellie, Ethan, Lucy, and Charlotte Foster; and Tomo Brewer.
Visitation will be held Friday January 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Zechar-Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio. Graveside service will be held Saturday January 23 at 9:30 a.m. at Gettysburg Cemetery and a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Oakland Church of the Brethren, Gettysburg, Ohio, with Rev. Fred Bernhard and Rev. Bracken Foster and co-officiating. Family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. before the memorial service.

Arianna Jo Ann Pollitt, stillborn, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on January 15, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. She is the daughter of Zach & Sacha (Lawson) Pollitt of Greenville, Ohio.

Honeycutt, Rebecca A. of Union, Ohio, formally of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on January 17, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Known to her friends and family as Becky, she was a graduate of Meadowdale High School class of 1971. She worked for the Maria Joseph Living Care Center with over 32 years of service before retiring. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard E. and Patricia A. Crawford and a brother Richard K. Crawford. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Paula (Andrew) Schock of Huber Heights, Ohio, and a son Brian (Krissy) Honeycutt of Troy, Ohio; grandchildren Benny, Caitlyn, Hailey, Emma, and Sophia; surviving siblings Carolyn Crawford or Dayton, Ohio and Elizabeth (Douglas) Bench of Cypress, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Becky was a gentle soul and was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be January 23, 2016 at Englewood Pentecostal Church of God, Englewood, Ohio. Margaret Ellen Grile, 68, of Union City, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016, at her residence.
She was born May 17, 1947 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Harry E Brown and Mary (North) Melia. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray McGuire, her second husband, Esby Grile, Son Brian Grile, and a sister, Betty Jordan.
Margaret enjoyed spending time will her family.

Walter R. Mallonee age 88, of Greenville and formerly of Fairborn passed away at 4:41 A.M. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Otterbein Retirement Community of Lebanon. Walter was born May 12, 1927 in Dayton to the late Walter Ray & Gladys (Dolph) Mallonee.
Walter is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Richard & Deb Mallonee of Fairborn; daughter & son-in-law, Kathleen & Earl G. Cadenhead of Franklin; and brother & sister-in-law, Robert & Roberta Mallonee of Beavercreek.
In addition to his parents, Walter was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Burnett) Mallonee on June 28, 2003.
Walter served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force base where he was a graphic artist. Walter resided at the Otterbein Retirement Community of Lebanon where he was active in the hand bell choir and men’s chorus and was active in the chancel choir at the United Methodist Church at Otterbein. Walter formerly resided at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville where he was choir director for many years.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Bible Fellowship Church 7757 Greenville-Celina Road in Greenville with Rev. Chris Cobb officiating.
