Dorothy was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and belonged to Eastern Star for 55 years. She belonged to several card clubs, loved to sew and crochet and keep house. In 1962 she retired from Fram. Dorothy simply enjoyed life and her family.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Niley, Jr., whom she married July 25, 1936; a brother, Dill Warvel; a sister, Mable Skillman; and an infant brother.
Dorothy is survived by her children, David (Karen) Niley and Joan (David) Cummings, both of Greenville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Deborah Stutzman of Springfield, IL, Terri (Joe) Andrews of Whigham, GA, Laura Davis of Bradford, Ohio, John (Sandy) Cummings of Miamisburg, Ohio and Jodi (Malik) Allalen of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, sisters, Louise Clawson of Greenville, Ohio and Lucille Post of Wendelin, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 10 AM at the Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Dr. Jim Vandermark officiating. Burial will follow in Beamsville Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral Home.
