Delbert Ray Wintrow Jr., age 73 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:58 P.M. Saturday February 13, 2016 at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center Greenville. Ray was born August 30, 1942 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Delbert Ray and Mary Catherine (Grill) Wintrow Sr.
Ray retired in 2007 from 3-Way Electric of Greenville after 50 plus years as an Electrician. He was an active member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church and the Darke County YMCA, both of Greenville. Ray loved playing with his grandchildren, working in his yard and wood working.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death sisters Helen Pitsenbarger, Shirley Fitzgerald and Barbara Wintrow as an infant; brothers Steve Wintrow, William Wintrow, Paul Wintrow, Donald Wintrow and John Wintrow.
Ray is survived by his wife Sharon Kaye (Doss) Wintrow of Greenville. They were married December 30, 1962. Also son Darrel R. (Bernice) Wintrow of Greenville; grandchildren Lacey (Ike) Gordin, Nathan Wintrow and Ethan Wintrow; brother and sisters in law Jack (Mary) Wintrow of Greenville and Nona Wintrow of Killeen, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 20, 2016 in the St. Paul Episcopal Church 201 South Broadway Greenville, Ohio with The Rev. Margaret Sammons officiating. Burial will be held in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on Saturday 1 hour prior to the services in the church.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions are given to State of the Heart Hospice of Darke County or the Cancer Association of Darke County.
