Cora Arline Light (February 18, 2016)

Cora Arline Light, age 95 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 6:25 P.M. Thursday February 18, 2016 at the Versailles Health Care Center Versailles, Ohio. Arline was born October 31, 1920 in Neave Township Darke County, Ohio and the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Delaplane) Zimmers.

Arline was a devoted mother and housewife and had been employed as a clerk with the Darke County Title Department.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville and had served as secretary of the church. Arline was also a member of the Nifty Neave Homemakers, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Republican Women’s Association, the National Association of Amalgamated Liars, a New England Patriots Fanatic and a booster of all her Grandkids and Great Grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James W. Light in 1973; sons Robert J. Light in 1989 and John Z. Light in 1990; brothers Paul and Ray Zimmers and sister Lillian Light.

Arline is survived by her children William Charles (Marilyn) Light and Jane Grace (Randy) Tester all of Greenville; daughters in law Mary (Ron) Bonfiglio and Ann (Sam) Robinson; grandchildren Dan (Jenny) Light, Jim (Vicky) Light, Dennis (Susan) Light, Amy (Steve) Shellhaas, Wendell Light, Jennifer (Shawn) Marker, Matt (Susie) Light, Mark Light, Gabe Thomas, Alex Thomas, Kelsey Tester, and Paige Tester; great grandchildren Andria (Chris) Haworth. James (Katie) Light, Morgan and Savannah Light, Chloe, Ellie and Micah Light, Brock, Jackson and Cade Shellhaas, Isabelle and Madelyn Light, Haley (Josiah) Garber, Claire, Sophie, Grant, Johnathan, Liam and Ava Marker, Grace, Collin, Will and Anna Light: great great grandchildren Bailey and Madison Haworth and Lydia Light as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday February 23, 2016 in the First Presbyterian Church 114 East Fourth Street Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. John Person officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery Ft. Jefferson, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on Tuesday 1/2 hour prior to the services in the church.
There will be a Liar’s Club Lodge of Sorrow Monday night at 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
