Glen Edward Craig age 71, of Versailles, Ohio, went to be with the Lord at 6:47 AM on Friday, January 27, 2017, at his residence. Glen was born September 9, 1945, in Shelbyville, Indiana, to the late Everett & Myrtle (Anderson) Craig.
Glen is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sharon Craig; daughters, Teresa McCoy of Nevada and Dr. Tonya Pierce of Illinois; step-children, Kim Coleman, Doug Seibert, David & Connie Seibert, Daniel & Renée Seibert, Don & Cora Beare and Eric & Stacy Seibert; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Craig of California.
In addition to his parents, Glen was also preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda P. Garratt; and brother, Eugene Craig.
Glen was a Veteran who served 26 years in the United States Army Security Agency in which he received several honorary medals. Glen worked as a probation officer for 20 years and retired in 1997. Glen was a member of the Versailles Christian Church. He was also a member of the Ansonia American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 3, 2017, at the Versailles Christian Church 105 West Ward Street Versailles with Pastor Nick Dimmick officiating. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard following services at church. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles Emergency Medical Services. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
