Keith was a Veteran serving in the US Army from August 1960 until August 1963. He was also a Flight Instructor at the Darke County Airport and taught Instrument Rating.
He had been employed for 28 years at Sheller-Globe and in 1995 started Dawson’s Direct Delivery, retiring in 2007. He was also a member of the Darke County Aero Modeler’s Association (flying remote controlled airplanes), an avid bowler, golfer and loved mowing his lawn.
Keith is survived by his wife Jacqueline Lee “Jackie” (Burch) Dawson of Greenville. They recently celebrated their 54th anniversary having been married March 22, 1964. Also children Mark (Heidi) Dotson of St. Marys, Ohio, Penney L. (Lain) Smith of Beaufort, SC and Rebecca S. (Michael) Rinderle of Greenville; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. During his 15 years of retirement he took care of his extended family, all the neighborhood felines.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday April 19, 2018 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Dale Boeger officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until time of the services in the funeral home.
The Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct Full Military Honors on Thursday at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Darke County Humane Society.
